The nation of the Deep Dwarves came after the fall of the great Dwarven kingdom of old.  Unlike the other dwarven factions that eventually became subraces, they are still considered ‘true dwarves’ and are likely the closest you will ever see to a dwarf from the original Dwarven Kingdom.  They chose to stay living underground, and still do to this day.  Their people yearn to reunite the dawi in a new Dwarven Empire to reign for millennia.
